I was awaken early this morning and yesterday by the very very very loud sounds of digging, drilling and what not. The house behind mine, looks like it's going to be teared down or there's an earthquake going on there that i kinda wished i was in school. Yeap, even with Reshi yelling in my ears.

The Exercise of Faith

I might not be the world's most optimistic person...


I once used to wonder if i was the only one who faced struggles. Silly i know. Who's life got no struggles, tell me! If you don't, you're lying, so really, stop pretending. So, embrace them!

Why embrace, yes?

Because without all these troubles, i realise i probably would have taken God for granted. My journey of life would be smooth-sailing and i'd probably still be the girl who hates to go to Sunday School once upon a time. And maybe, i'd never have the friendships i have now. I've learnt it's okay to be vulnerable sometimes. It's okay to turn to a friend when you're going through a tough time.

"It's the rough part that makes you really thankful you have someone to share with."

So yes, there is a divine purpose God put us through this 'wilderness'. All i have to do is look up and seek Him. Then i'm reminded i will always have friends a phone call away and God, just a whisper away.

"I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me." Phillipians 4:13

And with time and time again, He pulls my feet up. :)

Ah, how do i manage yes? Being optimistic is definitely good, no doubt but i doubt that everyone feels the same way. Personally, being grateful for all things i've been blessed with beats all kinds of optimism out there.

I actually decided against watching the L'pool-MU game tonight lest something like the Sunderland game happens again. Horror. But i watched it anyway. hehe. With my sister and my maid whom supported MU just because the goalie was good-looking(which he is! despite being nearly 40.) Nevertheless, they played a good game.

And, of course Liverpool won.

because the 6th minute on extra time was amazing! XD

Today i saw the dumbest thing in my Math paper. Come to think of it, no wonder i spent so much time on one question. I mean if i were Enstein, it is okay to create things like 2 pi r square for circumference of a circle. but i am not.

And maybe i did forgot to use the calculator(right under my nose, i might add) halfway through.

Was i semi-conscious? or maybeeee i was sleepy. =O

And today someone yelled at me that PMR is in 36 days!! O.O The last time i remembered it was still 54 days! Time does fly.

Hello world!

My holidays were blah if you were wondering. But i like it this way blah boring eat eat sleep blah.

1. The parents bugged me to clean my room :( (which i thought served no purpose at all because it will be quote dad, dog sty-ish in 2 weeks) (don't ask me whats a dog sty please.)

2. My dad has been bugging me to upload the long-forgotten Korea pictures into his thumbdrive. -which is still empty.

3. My mom has been bugging me to study but i still have 10 pages of History facts to my name as the night before my trials when i took Jaclyn's advice and ditched the books.

4. Why i was so "busy" to study, clean my room and upload pictures were because my awesome dad finally(FINALLY!) uploaded the Sims3 to the new cpu(i have 2 CPUS now! haha how cool is that but that is not the point because the point is..) I WAS ON THE SIMS3 MANIA. :)

5. I watched UP. When asked by Caleb whether i cried during the parts where i was supposed to cry, i said no because i was laughing the whole way. But the thought of SPOILERS! crying when Ellie died did cross my mind but then my attention diverted to how cute everyone was so the thought unpoofed itself. by the way, i thought the younger Carl look alot more like Bryan than Russell. by by the way, methinks it was a good Pixar movie. by by by the way, methinks G.I. Joe wasn't bad at all.

6. My English teacher told me i have a literary flair(don't ask me, i don't know) when i write and she suggested i take English Lit next year. Lit's not my cup of tea but writing is. And it sure beats EST or Accounts .. in MALAY.

7. TEENAGE DREAMS. lol.

8. Secondhand Serenade is not better than Dashboard. NOT.

Of H1N1 and Worst Case Scenarios.

When H1N1 first hit Malaysia, i was so paranoid i used hand sanitizer every 5 minutes and open the door to McD's with my leg. As on Friday, i had three H1N1 symptoms out of what? 5? A fever, flu and a sore throat.

I THOUGHT I HAD H1N1!

My sister was making H1N1 jokes for crying out loud! If you want to get quarantined Nette, go get it yourself. *in Phua Chu Kang's slang* Don't play play with my life.

So after giving my sister a piece of my mind, i scared myself to the doctor(LOL) cause if you'd known me(im using the past tense!) you'd know that i hate going to the doctor. The doctor was even worse. When he asked me whether i went to school, i thought he wanted to quarantined my school or something.(actually i don't really mind but hello, my life on the stake right now!) After much scribbles only fellow doctors could understand he finally said, "Oh, simple flu." The agony you put me through, Mr Doctor.

On a more serious note, before i entered the doctor's room, we patients were just minding our business when i heard someone not shouting but screaming, "Tolong, Tolong". Those were the scariest scream i ever heard. Two things came to my mind:

1) Non-logical of course. Zombies and infected ones. Obviously i've been watching a little too much movies but clinics and hospital just do that to a person. And the screams were horrible.

2) Someone chasing the poor man with a parang.

Nobody dared to take a look outside. And, there was one elderly doctor, one elderly nurse, one guy with a tummy, one lady, one man who plays games on his iPod, my mother, my younger sister and me. I mean put in my shoes, would you feel safe? My mom shoo-ed my sister and i to the back and we just waited. And after a while the screams just stopped. I don't know what happened to the man but i hope that he's okay. After all that, my mom told us to quickly open the door and run out to the car. I wasn't going to stick around to find out.

ps/ My H1N1 symptoms is down to two! No more fever! :D

I Feel Like A Slushie.

"This van will be the death of me!"

No kidding, the church van could kill a person. The whole way to the stadium Crystal was holding on to me while i applied sunblock. Oh, but it doesn't get better from here.

"Oh i change my mind. The track merit will be the death of me!!"

Okay imagine this, people who aren't athletic i.e, me who was running for the first time in what? 2 months? 3? Or imagine this, people who ate a bowl of laksa and something else before running, i.e Josh. Or this, people who have spinal problems i.e, me who without a doubt will be among last. Halfway through, i looked like i was going to die. My cheeks were so red that someone commented i was slapped and my back started to hurt a little. After all that hard running, i felt like a slushie. If you thought this was easy, lets see you do it alright. On the bright side, i skipped school today :)

Speaking of school, i predict not very satisfying marks. All i can say now is, .... my maths! Which idiot mistakens circular cone for cylinder! Circular cone=two words. Cylinder=ONE! I think i'll be good at sports involving throwing y'know. Like say, throwing marks away! oh why oh why oh why oh whyyyyyyyy. Think happy thoughts.

What Could Possibly Happen in a Cinema?

.. or so you assumed lah.

Sometimes you can just hate the cinemas. Not quite the cinema but hey, home theatre works fine too once in a while.

1) Well, for one, you wouldn't have people using(or in this case, misusing) their 3G phones to show their wives what was happening in the movie. And narrating the story every 5 minutes. Quite smart, i'll admit. Lol. But still, not your house okay. So kiamsiap meh cannot buy her a ticket for the movie. I think you video-call her can buy two tickets already lor.

2) And, you don't need to rush when you're watching at home. In my family's case, you can have pauses, toilet breaks, eating fruit sessions and whatnots. In the cinemas, well, nobody waits for you. Long story cut short, i ran down the steps(because we were late, mind you. You think i simply run down steps in the dark ah) and fell. I FELL. with a loud THUMMMMP! Oh by the way it was Twilight!. So when Kristen Stewart fell, everyone turned and looked at me. And of course, when people fall down the first thing you do is laugh. And i know most of you would be lying if you said no, because when someone falls down, you laugh. Then only you ask " are you okay?" Ironyyyyyy.

3) Well this one actually happened to 'my friend'(name protected for privacy purposes XD) a long time ago. HAHA. But i could remember it. I even remembered the movie. Bedtime Stories! In the cinema while having his sushi, he dropped wasabi on his pants and later on some crazy person threw water at him for nothing. hahahahahhahahaha.

And before i go, im verifying that i didn't make those up okay. Even if im pretty imaginative sometimes. XD

I Think Im Leaving Sweetheart Home.

Well if all fails, at least im bringing the iPod. I don't think i can get any more positive than this and they don't call me the noisy noisy noisy one for nothing. And the best part is, im finally(!) travelling light. Oh, and here's also to a great start.

First time wearing those hospital robes, like in the movies. Can't say it was the best feeling.

Windy Nights.

I was staring at the ceiling for about one hour right until .. now.

.. So much for catching enough ZZZs for tomorrow. T_T

An hour ago, Alex sent me home with the church's van and oh my goodness! It was literally falling apart! hahaha. No im not joking! So since we were crawling along at turtle's pace on the road and people were this close to coming down their cars with golf sticks in hand, Alex stepped on the gas which made deafening(seriously loud) noises,

WE WERE STILL GOING AT 60KM PER HOUR!

Thus me coming home an hour after i was supposed to. This is my first time being in a school this late at night. Creepy, but fun. But still creepy. :D Oh, hope to see you TOMORROW. ;)

I Had Fun In A Sex & Sensibility Seminar :)

Oh, since im here i'll blog about my weekend; the start of the holidays which is gonna be awesome, as usual.

Last Sunday, right after GCC meeting i went to OU(yes lah again, what? i didnt buy anything the last time. Lynnette did? oh, not counted :D) and "bumped" into Yokepei and Jess. coincidence right! NO. HAHA. Anyway, we shopped our hearts out(not to mention money also, hehe.) and literally bombed my mother's wallet. Pei and Jess were supposed to be shopping for IU decos and when two impulsive spenders unite! .. they get expensive stuffs. which were cool.. and expensive $$

Yesterday, we went for the Sex & Sensibility seminar in GT which was a totally last minute thing. Sis, i, Manda, Jo, Pei, Matt and Josh. And, if you thought this was your ordinary BGR/sex talk, you were dead wrong! Ok well not dead wrong lah. haha, but it wasn't what i expected. Despite the looooooong hours, it was really fun. Yes, i had fun in a Sex & Sensibility seminar :) We had science class all over again except with better demos and no uniforms, dancing classes(Haha!), and dating games. And, the speakers were sooooo funny. Haha, i love funny people. Later, we had dinner and 'tong yuen' together and .. crew dispersed.

Here I am, bored to death watching Heroes Joshua downloaded to my comp. The other comp(which i normally use) is acting up, again. Hm, i can't remember which episode i finished watching and very very confused. Sigh. Do i really sound like im bored?

Woodwork is so crappy! Not like i totaaaally suck in hammering nails into wood, i just don't have the knack to it lah it seems. yeah that oooomph thing. What, don't give me that look! The nail i hammered in came out .. TWICE! T___T And, im no nowhere near finishing. Two weeks doing it and lemme see, i've so far three pieces of wood joined up! so pathetic. Whatever, not like im going to be a carpenter in the near future. right? *crickets* RIGHT.

Monday's OneU.

EPIC WEEKEND!!!

On another note, Monday was a holiday! This is actually one of the very few reasons why i like Malaysia, we get different kinds of holidays most of the time! And because i couldn't tahan staying at home while they go have a blast in OU, i tagged along .. and dragged Jo. Haha! Watched Watchmen(yes, Jo and i passed off as 18 =D) and the others watched The Reader(yes, they passed off too. Haha.) Was going to go for GSC but that was too early so TGV it was and ohh, how i hate those cinema seats!! Low backrest and stuffy seats. >:'( I hate to say this but Aeon you rock!(despite meeting 20812723924 people you know)

When we got back to Manda's house, the foursome was having their usual yakky thingies going on. I went to Jo's room and lookie lookieeeee!

This will have little kids going green in envy i tell ya!

A Sucker For Love.

I think i'll just do 20. And that, im feeling generous today. Haha!

So anyways, our teacher made everyone stand up and you couldn't sit if you don't have one. Jade and I are so awesome that we created another one in what? 5 seconds? Eh, not exaggerating, promise! The words were just flowing, i tell ya!(not literally lah of course :D)

We were the first to sit and some classmates being desperate as they were, copied ours. If you're thinking oh little bit only right, you thought wrong! Danny, ducks and donkeys also want to copy. Some even copied 3 lines! Aiyoh, copy also copy smart lah so that you don't appear like a thick-skinned-idiot.

School Overdose.

Yes, you guessed right i didn't go to school yesterday, instead i went shopping! Im not letting noone rob my Saturday. What, like 5-days-a-week isn't enough? -.- Okay lets pick an average hm, Wednesday shall we? We go up and down four flights of stairs=60 steps(yes, i counted because what else do you do while going up?) in an average of 4 times on an average Wednesday. Oh i didn't tell you, my class is on the highest floor!! Sometimes i am so sick of school already. And im still drawing my Geography map! And wow great, i forgot to colour.
